MobileBest Yeepay Platform project adopts IBM Openpower server which is based on 64bit POWER5TM chip and Novell’s SLES9 OS, and choose Skybility’s Skybility HA Service as the high availability Support Software, therefore, the entire system achieves the requirement of high stability ,high performance and low cost.

　　on April 7, 2005,Beijing MobileBest Technology Co., Ltd. (MobileBest), officially launched a new electronic payment platform - YeePay. Challenge

"In order to support a high load of user access request, a SW and HD platform with higher performance and availability is required..Openpower + SLES9 + DB2 provide the customer with high performance database service; while Skybility HA Service provides the high available support platform for high load DB2 database system." Skybility HA Service solution

　　The Yeebay is mainly composed of a database server,a database server, front-end servers, and other functional components. YeePay database server uses two IBM eServer and 　installs SLES 9 system. Meanwhile, in order to guarantee its high availability, Skybility HA Service is choosed to instruct the double-click backup enviornment. Two 720 mainframe runs two separate HA service groups, and one is the other server’s backup. The database server runs IBM DB2. The front-end server installs the SLES9 system and runs Websphere, while the storage adopts IBM FasT600.

　　The IBM eServer OpenPower series based on the SLES9 could greatly reduce the invest in early stage ; and meanwhile ,Skybility HA Service could ensure its availability and reliability. Combining with IBM's complete product line, including the DB2 database and content management software, WebSphere Portal software, FAStT storage products and BladeCenter Server JS20, all those factors provides the MobileBest with a end-to –end solution;what is better, compared with other similar products, the overall cost (TCO) achieves a saving of 70 percent. The application of Skybility HA Service, will enable that IBM DB2 database annual downtime is less than five minutes and all the fault recovery is done automatically, and then the database maintenance and backup is greatly reduced, finally, it greatly reduces the losses occurred by database fault and costs on the maintenance.
